How Fourge works

The short version
Fourge is a Four.meme launchpad on BNB Chain. Every coin launched here is a Four.meme Tax Mode coin, and launching it forges a machine: one of 888 machines, an NFT (ERC-721) on BSC that earns a share of that coin's tax forever. The machine belongs to whoever holds it, and it can be sold: its income goes with it.
After machine #888, no machine is ever forged again. New coins then take over a machine from the vault's pool, and join its ledger: the machine earns on all of them.
Where a coin's tax goes
Each coin names its own CoinInbox as its Tax Mode recipient (a contract deployed at an address fixed before the coin exists). Four.meme sends the tax there in batches (once about 0.01 BNB has built up). The Forge contract then splits every batch, with numbers written in the code:
| Share | Goes to | When |
|---|---|---|
| 50% | Treasury (the platform's revenue wallet) | paid first, directly |
| 20% | the machine holding the coin in its ledger | claimable by its current holder |
| 20% | the coin's creator | paid directly, for life |
| 10% | the vault | 2 of those 10 points go to the burn reserve |
Module bonuses are paid from the vault's 10%, capped at 3 points, so the vault always keeps at least 5%. A machine's unclaimed earnings follow it when it is sold.
Tax that arrives before a machine is revealed is split the same way, except that the vault's 10% waits in the Forge until the reveal, which pays the machine its module bonus from it. If Four.meme's graduation state cannot be read when a batch is split, a Crucible or Quench bonus is held apart and settled later, never lost.
Phase 1: forging (#001 to #888)
1. Reserve your machine: you pay its forge fee, from 0.007 BNB for #001 to 0.07 BNB for #888 (about $5 to $50), to the vault. The machine is held for 15 minutes; unused, 95% comes back. 2. Create your coin on Four.meme, from your own wallet, in Tax Mode (1%, 2%, 3%, 5% or 10% on buys and sells), with the whole tax to your coin's inbox. 3. Register it: the Forge checks on-chain that the coin is a genuine Four.meme Tax Mode coin, that 100% of its tax goes to your inbox and that the rate is allowed, then forges your machine. 4. Reveal: registering asks Chainlink VRF for a random number (its small fee comes out of the forge fee). Machines are revealed strictly in number order: your machine's art, traits and modules are drawn from the remaining entries of the published list with that number. Nobody, the platform included, can pick which machine comes out. If Chainlink stays silent for an hour it is asked again; only after two days without any answer can the reveal fall back to the hash of a block committed in advance.
Phase 1 ends at #888 or 60 days after it opens, whichever comes first. The supply then never grows again.
The 888 machines
Every machine is drawn from a list of 888 entries published before the start and stored on-chain at deployment. Its hash (keccak-256 of the 3,552-byte list) is the commitment:
0x8145d3af70fe0076761893e8899b79bf00dd5e1ef389e7bf8690a598c92c460d
Traits: Machine (8 families), Fitting (16), Glaze (8), Finish (3), Metal (3), Backdrop (6). Every machine looks different. Metadata is built on-chain (ledger size, lifetime BNB and generation are always current); images are on IPFS.
Modules
1 to 3 per machine (533 machines with 1, 266 with 2, 89 with 3; 1,332 in total).
| Module | Effect | Machines |
|---|---|---|
| Bellows | +0.50% of the tax of every coin in its ledger | 409 |
| Crucible | +1.00% while a coin trades on its Four.meme curve | 241 |
| Quench | +1.00% once a coin trades on PancakeSwap | 246 |
| Tempered | sells to the vault at 95% of its ceiling instead of 80% | 177 |
| Hallmark | 0.01 BNB from the vault when a coin of its ledger has paid 1 BNB of tax | 117 |
| Anvil | 0.02 BNB from the vault when a coin of its ledger graduates (read on-chain) | 116 |
| Ember | +2.00% of the tax of every coin in its ledger | 26 |
Bonuses add up to 3 points at most. Primes are paid only while the vault's free balance covers them 5 times.
The ledger
A machine earns on every coin of its ledger, up to 64. When a full ledger takes a new coin, its oldest dead coin (no batch of at least 0.001 BNB for 21 days, and nothing waiting in its inbox) leaves; that coin's machine share then goes to the vault, its creator keeps earning. A ledger with no dead coin cannot take a new one.
Phase 2: taking over a machine
1. Reserve a slot: you pay the vault exactly what it paid for the cheapest free machine of its pool. Held 15 minutes, 95% back if unused, one slot per wallet every 24 hours. 2. Create your coin on Four.meme, then register it: the machine, its whole ledger and its future earnings pass to you, and your coin joins the ledger. What the machine earned while in the pool, including tax still waiting in its coins' inboxes, goes to the vault. If the machine can no longer take a coin before you register (its ledger filled up with live coins), you can cancel your slot with a full refund.
The vault
The vault holds forge fees, 10% of every coin's tax and every royalty (5% of each machine sale). Nobody can withdraw from it.
- Buybacks: it buys only the cheapest listing of the built-in market (listings are sorted on-chain), once that price has stood for 10 minutes, and only while its pool has fewer than 2 free machines.
- Ceiling: never above 3 times the machine's base earnings over the last 5 weeks, at least 0.035 BNB, at most 20% of its free balance. A holder can also sell straight to the vault at 80% of the ceiling (95% with Tempered), up to 4 machines in the pool. At these numbers, wash-trading a coin to inflate a ceiling costs more tax than a sale to the vault returns (tested by fuzzing).
- Burns: every day it buys back and burns the platform coin with its burn reserve (2% of all tax, half of the platform coin's own tax), plus each week 10% of its free balance above 10 BNB. Each burn is capped and checked for price impact on-chain.
Is the vault solvent?
By construction it cannot spend what it does not hold: every purchase is capped at 20% of the free balance, slots are paid back at cost, primes need 5 times their amount. A 180-day simulation of 300 runs per scenario (research/vault_sim.py, assumptions written in the file):
| Scenario | Machines | Free balance at day 180 | Lowest free balance (worst run) | Machines bought back | BNB to buy-and-burn |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Slow: 4 launches a day, then 2 | 240 | 10.5 BNB | 0.014 BNB | 197 | 1.9 |
| Steady: 15 a day, then 6 | 888 | 17.5 BNB | 0.051 BNB | 309 | 41.2 |
| Busy: 40 a day, then 15, heavy selling to the vault | 888 | 16.2 BNB | 0.159 BNB | 357 | 43.6 |
Trust
- Contracts are open source, verified and immutable: no proxy, no upgrade, no function that moves a balance, a split, a machine or a coin for anyone.
- The owner (a two-step transfer) can only: name the Treasury wallet, the keeper and the guardian; let test wallets forge before phase 1 opens; approve a new Four.meme Tax Mode template after a 2-day delay; register the platform coin once; move where the machine image files are served from (for example to an IPFS folder of the same files) until it locks that location for good. A machine's art itself can never change.
- The keeper only pays gas (reveals, splits, buybacks, burns). It cannot choose where money goes.
- The guardian can only pause the vault's purchases; only the owner resumes them.
- A Four.meme Tax Mode coin's recipient is fixed at creation: the coin's contract has no function to change it (checked on the current template,
0x7330…5c94). Fourge's indexer still re-reads it continuously.
Four.meme and BNB Chain facts used here
- Four.meme Tax Mode coins are clones created through Four.meme's TokenManager2 (
0x5c95…762b); their tax applies to buys and sells, on the curve and then on PancakeSwap V2. - Graduation moves a coin to a PancakeSwap V2 pair and burns the LP; Fourge reads it with Four.meme's TokenManagerHelper3 (
liquidityAdded). - Four.meme pushes accrued tax in batches once about 0.01 BNB has built up.
- Scanners such as GoPlus show a Tax Mode coin's buy and sell tax, and while it is on the curve show TokenManager2 as owner with an external call; graduated coins show owner 0. This is how every Four.meme Tax Mode coin reads.
